The movie Monster House?
Okay, my boys are 3 & 4. They are actually my step kids. They saw Monster House at their moms when visiting, and said they liked it a lot. (I've seen the movie, and thought it was cute-so I got it for them)
Well, I was trying to figure out if you would let your kids (they're age) watch this movie? And, how would you explain that it was a good movie to someone who hasn't seen it?
Their Nana doesn't like the name of the movie, and she saw some scenes at first, she just doesn't think kids should know about Monsters (because they are afraid)
After watching the movie with them, the first time... I explained to them that the older man didn't want anything to happen to the kids, etc.
So, would you let them watch it? I mean, my kids have seen it before, and I didn't really think of it that way. They aren't really afraid of monsters, they've never shown any worries about them.

answer:
I think it is rated for kids. Tell her its an animated cartoon for kids. Don't judge a book by its cover. Let her borrow it to watch first. Really, just tell her they have seen it before and are not scared and really enjoy it.
It very much depends on the child, i didn't take my daughter to see it at the cinema and she was 6. She did see it when it came out on DVD as it's less scary at home when you can walk away or turn it off. But she enjoyed it. Careers_Employment pregnancy.yifei8.netParenting
Maybe try explaining that children are different and that you know your children well enough to know they are ok with it.

Yes, I would, I've watched it some, and I think it's a movie that a child could watch, my niece watched it, and she's 4.
Is it really her business?
If you and their biological parents are okay with it then go ahead.

My kids have been watching this movie for years. It was my daughter's favorite movie for a few months when she was 2 years old.
