Whats the moment like when you see your baby the first time?
I'm six months pregnant and I'm ecstatic about seeing my baby for the first time after birth :D I just wanted to know other moms stories about what it was like when you first saw those two little gleaming eyes looking at your for the first time ever :D
This is my first baby and I'm really excited (if you couldnt tell, lol)
So what was it like for you? Describe the moment! :D

answer:
Its a time for mixed emotions.. all in a matter of a few seconds.
Relief. Joy. Shock. Excitement. Exhaustion. Touching. Emotional. Awestruck
Relief the labour is over. Joy the baby is on your chest.. Shock the baby is on your chest. Excitement - OMG BABY IS ON YOUR CHEST!! exhaustion - oh what a moment. Touching - you realise your a parent and this baby is yours. yours and noone elses (besides of course your partner). Emotional - you will cry. there is no doubt about it. Awestruck - after those first few very brief moments of mixed emotions reality sets in and you just stare. and smile. and cry. and blabber incoherant words (on camera i am caught saying "babe you do oh it babe oh did oh wow" lol.
Elissa was put on to me naked, straight away. as soon as she was out i saw her straight away onto my chest. i remember thinking "omg she is slimy" lol i had never seen a newborn.. so i didnt know what to expect. it was definately an instant love for me. i held her for like an hour. they cleaned her while she was on me. My partner cut her umbilical cord while she was on me. i cuddled. stared. bawled my eyes out. kissed my baby, kissed my partner. thanked the midwifes. praised myself for giving birth. i guess you feel proud also :)
ETA- oh thats awesome. your 16 and excited. i get upset when young teen mums arent excited. i feel like well if it is such a 'drag' you should have been more careful so Kudos to you :)
And dont worry i had my partner, my sister and my mum in their also. But my main focus was my man. But im sure yours will be your mum :)
GOOD LUCK ~!!

Proud to be a mumma =)
I was so exited and had always wanted to be mum for as long as I could remember. I watched my daughter being born through a mirror which I thought would be disgusting but wasnt. When I first saw her heard it was such a relief like finally but I just wanted her in my arms. When she came out I thought a lot of different things. I always thought Id cry but I didnt. My first thought was is she really my baby because she looked so different to what I expected then how small she was. When they put her on my chest I felt as though she was a part of me this little precious bundle that I needed to protect. The first thing I said to her was hi princess : ). I had my daughter at 19 and was a single mum living on my own. Whether your with your babies daddy or not doesnt change how you will feel about your bub you will love him/her more then anything in the world

The first time i heard her crying: i was choked up with emotions.
The first time i saw her face: i finally cried and i knew i would die for my baby
The first time i felt her tiny body: i was just amazed and felt grateful to be her mother. No words can describe it. It's just wonderful :)

experience :)
I can't even describe it, there she was with thick dark fuzzy hair, blue eyes, tiny little hands and feet and then she sneezed then cried as she had made herself jump and I cried then laughed and she held my finger she was so perfect and I don't think I have ever been or ever will be that happy again she was just laid on my tummy I was exhausted and achey but so happy she was mine forever and I just wanted to cuddle her forever! nine months on I still get that feeling of absolute happiness and love sometimes when I look at her cheeky little face
it took a bout 10 mins before i could see her i could hear her crying and i was soo happy i wanted to cry soo bad but i didnt because i was waiting to see her.. when i finally got to see her my world stopped i didnt see anything but her =D she was amazing and still is even tho shes now 4 months old enojoy your belly cuz your gona miss it
I had a very bad delivery and I couldn't even see her for about ten minutes after she was born. Finally they laid her on my stomach for just a minute. It was the most amazing thing, her looking at me and just staring around like she was in awe.
