What does your childs winter coat?

What does your childs winter coat?
look like? How much did it cost? Where did you buy it?

I am in the process of looking one for Miss Aubree. She's 9 1/2 months old! I am stuck on which kind of coat to get her. Big & Bulky? Fleece? Sweatshirt-like zip up? I always warm the car and we would be just going from place to place, not outside for extended amounts of time. And if I do decide to take her out to play in the snow, I will get a nice big warm coat for her.. but as of right now - I just need one for the ..here to there.. trips! It's getting cold. Brrrrr. 52 degrees this morning. Im SO not ready for winter.

answer:
It was 52 degrees this morning where you are, and you think that's cold? It's 3 in the afternoon and that's what the temp is here now. This morning was in the high 30s.

I'd just get her a fleece. Then you can keep it on her in the car. A bulky coat can't be worn under the harness in a car seat. Just use blankets in the car.

Alyssa is 9 months and I actually found her coat at a yard sale and paid $2 for it. It is literally brand new. It's pink with some dark pink stitching. I believe they sell the brand (I can't remember the name of it right now) at Sears or JC Penney. I figured she can use that for a 'school coat'. Old Navy has really cute coats for little girls. Alyssa also has several 'hoodie' type jackets that she can wear until it gets really cold. Oh, you can also check Once Upon a Child:)

Just get a really cute zip up sweater, that over long sleeves and with gloves and a hat should be perfect for just to the car and back inside. You can get one of those for whatever price you want to spend on it, you can probably get one at walmart for 5 - 15 dollars, or you can pay more for name brand. No matter where you get it it probably won't cost you more than 30$

my son is 2. i found a winter coat for him at marshalls for 16.00. i also have a fleece lined hoodie for not so cold days and a couple of zip sweatshirts. if your not goin to be playing outside a fleece jcket would be fine. maybe have a blanket to throw over her for cold days running to and from the car too.

My daughter's winter jacket is bright pink with Cinderella on the back of it. It's really big and warm, a puffer jacket style. I got it on ebay for $12, great price. It was from the Disney store originally.

Why not get her a soft fleecy jacket? Or one that's faux fur. I love those kind, I was thinking about getting one for my daughter.

It's snows maybe twice a year here, so I'm too cheap to buy actual winter coats.

We just use the coats that we have for them when we go hunting. Our girls have North Face jackets and our boys have insulated camo coats.

It's a gymboree blue/green heavy duty jacket that zips up and is fleece lined. Winters get bad where I live so having a fleece lined jacket is a plus. I bought it at a consignment store for $8.

She has a jacket/coat from the Gap and my husband recently bought her a second hand pink Columbia brand winter coat. It looks like it's never been worn.

He has some play coats I picked up second hand (thrift store, handmedowns) and they're pretty well worn but still wearable for the yard. His good coat I bought this summer on the LL Bean clearance rack for $20.

Get all three, but at like baby consignmen shop. cheaper and when the little one grows out of it, then you can swap it for another////

I don't have winter coats

if you live in england john lewis do lovely warm coats

i dont have kids

We have pretty cold winters here (NW Arkansas) so I always get heavy coats for winter. My daughter's coat is from BabyGap and was $25 (they were having a 50% off sale on all winter items). I also got her an overall type snow suit that goes underneath it. pregnancy question and answers

My son just turned 13mo and, so far, doesn't have a coat yet. He has a light jacket, but I haven't went shopping for his coat yet. I won't worry _quite_ so much about how heavy his coat is since I plan on putting him in the Ergo when we're outside.

But, right now I am just using jackets and hoodies for quick trips too and from the car (mornings are usually in the 50's here as well)
