Neither my boss nor my coworkers know exactly what I do on the internet, but they know I use it for non work related things. I was actually approached about it a few months ago my boss, but it was a mere slap on the wrist...no corrective action taken at all, other than her telling me to tone it down a bit. Evidently I have some tattle tale coworkers and that's the only reason she even mentioned anything...where there is a complaint it has to be addressed. I am sneaky. I keep the Y!A window small and in a corner of my screen and if a boss or a suspect coworker walks by, I click off. lol

No as long as I've finnished paper work or theres no extreme cases I can do what I like(to an extent)
I do have to hide some of my answers when students come in but my desk is in my office and they can't see that.

Nope. As long as I meet my deadlines, no one cares what I do in my downtime, right now I'm on YA but also streaming a movie on Netflix...go figure.
I shrink the screens when anyone comes to my desk, as a matter of policy. Sometimes I'm working on information that is classified, sometimes I'm not doing anything.

I do hit minimize pretty fast if someone walks up. Not that I care, but I am afraid someone will rat on me and it's none of their business anyway. We aren't supposed to use the internet unless it's business related. =P

i have to hide it from some of the upper levels, but some others don't care. just have to peg them out lol

I be as sneaky as possible. I never leave FB up or YA, but I will leave the MSN home page up, or some article I am reading on whatever to answer their question. I don't take breaks, and the few minutes I spend on here do not add up to the amount of break time I should be taking.

I only hide it if the company CEO, CFO or something of that nature is around. My branch manager does not care about our personal internet usage as long as we are getting our jobs done & the customers are being waited on (I work in banking)!

No because I use my own personal lap top at work since they took the internet away from our department, but everyone else has full internet access.

they know i use his site. im on it all the time since i have a toddler and having another baby on wednesday. i do get people looking over my shoulder, wondering why i answer quesions all day.lol if you dont use i, you wouldn't understand.
