Do your kids throw up? (20 characters)?
Of course they do, right? I mean, all kids do...
Except my kids, apparently. I have a 7 yr old, a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old. The older two very rarely spit up as babies. The youngest spit up more than my first, but less than I've seen most babies. He has never thrown up. The older two have thrown up once, last year, when we got food poisoning. My then 6 year old didn't even know what was happening because he'd never done it before. Mind you, I am NOT complaining. I have emetophobia (fear of throwing up) so having kids that don't throw up is probably the only thing keeping me sane. But I still don't get it...I mean, little kids puke a lot, right? And even if not a lot, certainly SOME times, right? Again, no complaints from me, but I'm wondering if one day my good luck is going to run out, like, all of a sudden my kids are going to turn into "normal" kids who get sick at the drop of a hat. I should point out that although they're all pretty healthy, they get their fair share of seasonal colds and an occasional fever. They even get "stomach bugs" now and then, but without the vomiting.

answer:
I've been lucky with my kids so far. They haven't really thrown up that much either.

I think the last time was when we all had the stomach flu. Seriously all of us were throwing up at the same time. To make things worse were all in our van driving back from my inlaws. We had a very long 45min drive. It broke my heart since I couldn't comfort my kids who were very upset and feeling awful. But I was throwing up too. That was at least 7 or 8yrs ago yet the memory still haunts me.

We now rarely have stomach bugs with throwing up. Mostly it well comes out the other end.

Have you seen that Seinfield episode where he brags about his long record of not throwing up? Then he eats at a cookie at a bakery and says something like "well that ends my non-vomit streak"

My 7 year old throws up so often that he throws up, comes back to where you are, tells you he threw up, says he's fine, and goes back to doing whatever it was he was doing before he threw up.

My one year old has thrown up only when she had the stomach virus (minus the spit up throw ups).

My almost 7 year old threw up only on one occasion. It was this past summer when he contracted Salmonella from chicken poop. Seriously, we live on a farm. It was awful. Some people have stronger stomachs than others. I almost never throw up either.
The worst part for my son was, because he had never thrown up before, he was terified by what his body was doing.

Edit- Poor kids. :(
I saw my son throwing up. If I hadn't he probably would have reacted the same way. He was so scared. Later he told me he thought he was dying.

Trust me, i fear throwing up as well. -shiver-

You are right, but its very hard to do so. I remember one bought of flu i got that throwing up was the only way to relieve the pain. I had no choice then.

Grit your teeth and bear it is all i can say >< That being said, i can barely stand to clean up my dog's mess, let alone another persons.

My kids throw up. One of them suffers from terrible motion sickness so she's barfing all the time on the plane or long car rides. Poor thing. pregnancy question and answersNewborn&Baby

My older sister was one of those lucky kids who never puked. She went from age 3 to 20 without puking. I wasn't so lucky.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and has only thrown up once. She never even really spit up when she was a baby. Some kids just have weaker stomachs that others.

My son has thrown up once in his 3 years. When he was under 6 months old, he spit up a lot. Hope I'm not jinxing myself.

Im 13 and i havent thrown up since i was 4.

When I was growing up, I went for about 7 yrs without throwing up. My 3.5 yr old has been sick maybe 3 or 4 times with a stomach virus where she has thrown up. She has thrown up in her bed in the middle of the night. Last time she was sick, she was able to tell me ahead of time "I'm gonna throw up!" and I'd get her a trash can. She was really good about getting sick in something, bless her heart.

Get dogs - then you'll have all the throw up you could ever imagine! LOL
