Is this post natal depression?
our friend has recently had a baby and he is now 3 months, about a month ago her and her baby`s father split up, it was a confusing break up for her. now she never stays in the house and she often asks someone to babysit while she goes to a friends or to go out for a night. it is getting a bit worrying and we are wondering if it may have something to do with post natal depression? she has days where she is really down/irritable and then there are days where she can be in a world of her own or lethargic or days when she can be really hyper and her moods can change really quickly.. we are just confused, can you help?

It's possible, if she's young and now a single Mum it may be more than pnd. From everything I've researched the majority of women with pnd don't want to go out which is the complete opposite to your friend.

I'd give your local doctor a call for a professional opinion on what to do next and how to approach her.

Your a great friend, wish i'd someone like you when I had it.
