I would do maybe talk to the some of the other parents there or parents who have used the same daycare.
You do get what you pay for.
It depends on how difficult or how heavy is her work in a day, considering also the attitude of the kids.
For me, $140 is a good starting price for a week. Besides, there are many babysitters out there aiming to get a job that you can choose from. Maybe you could also give conditions and bonuses depending on how dedicated she'll be in her work as you monitor her. Just also try to consider that its not really easy caring 2 kids specially if they are playful. Anyway, In the end its always you who could decide for this.

Its really up to you and the woman watching your kids. If thats a price you both agree on, than it should be fine.
yeah thats a great pay, i babysat 8-5, monday through friday, and got $110 a week, so your doing one less day for $30 more, which is good in my book, then again they are babies and my job was only for one kid.

depends on the ages of your kids and how many hours, how many days. all the day cares where i live are 120 for my 2 year old, so i'd say 140 for 2 kids is a bargain!
Dang! I pay 140 a week per kid! So I pay 280 a week at the home daycare my kids go to. $ month old and 3 year old.
Sounds low. $140 per kid would be more the going rate, especially for the young ages of your kids.
