How can i convince the court I was just helping my kid out?

my son is running for student body president in 5th grade (I know cute right?) so to help him out me and this guy Larry that I know found the kid he was running against and told him he had to drop out so my kid could win. The little brat said he wouldnt so we gave him a bloody nose and a black eye (just to show him what we were capable of, we'd never REALLY hurt him) and we said we would get him worse if he didnt drop out. Anyway next thing you know the police are at my door. How can I convince the court I just wanted to help my son?

You committed assault against a minor and should go to jail as this is ILLEGAL. Get your head on straight, committing assault is not helping your son win and he may get taken away from you to boot.

Please re read what u wrote and ask yourself the same question... Stupid... I'm assuming your in your 30's?? Or early 40's..this child is what... 10 or 11.. What r u teaching your son by doing this!? Absolutely nothing good. Who deliberately inflickts pain on an innocent child? U sir need to rethink your question and maybe sanity..
