Is twitching normal in a baby?
Hi , I have a one month old baby and he twitches his leg or arm and sometimes even his head while sleep. Or sometimes he twitches only his leg while awake. I have heard it can be normal while sleep but while awake??? I don't know.It doesn't last for more than 1 or 5 seconds is this normal? Please tell me about your experience. I have asked the doctors and said it was normal, but I will like to hear from other mommies experiences.. Thank you!!!

answer:
its totally normal, its their startle reflexes working. all babies do it and they grow out of it eventually!

my daughter used to do it when she was sleeping and it woke her up all the time so we swaddled her and she slept fantastically. she's 5 months now and she has still has her startle reflexes but as she's a little older she can control them more. your little one is still learning about things the older and stronger he gets he'll be able to control them and it won't unsettle him
