is there such thing as too much pooping?

i remember when my son was an infant i was calling the pediatrician because he wouldnt poop for 5 days. my daughter on the other hand has been pooping 3-7 times a DAY. this has been going on for about 2 weeks now and i finally decided to call her pediatrican today. he wants a stool sample and he checked her ears and disccovered the double ear infection she had and was treated for LAST MONTH 1 ear wasnt healed up. poor girl i feel horible! so does anyone else have a lo who poops over 2-3 times daily? i was concerend she wasnt absorbing all the nutrients.

People are sopuused to be pooping 3-4 times a day, it is the horrible diets most have that have caused the slow digestion. We eat lots of fruits and veggies and whole grains and we all go at least 3 times a day!

My younger daughter however had several bowel movements a day. A normal day for her as an infant was 3 - 5 very soft bowel movements a day. I mentioned to her ped. and nothing was really said about it. She was sick a lot too as an infant so I always wondered if it was all the antibiotics she was on. Anyways now she is 18 months old and goes 1 - 3 times a day. I wouldn't worry about it.............try not to worry and don't be out their googling this.......you'll just freak yourself out. Trust me, I was convinced my daughter had CF.
