she might be deaf

they do basic tests to confirm that a babies hearing and other things are working fine, so if there was a problem they would have notified you. Don't shout in your babies ears as they are very fragile at the moment. If your worried take them to a doctor as they can do some test to confirm if there are any issues.

As long as she turns her head occasionally when you clap behind her she should be fine, maybe she lives in a loud household so isn't bothered by loud sounds.

If your baby was born in a hospital, did they test the baby's hearing before she went home? Every baby in our state has a hearing test before discharge. If your baby's hearing was not tested, speak to the doctor about having it done. And please don't shout at your daughter, especially 'in her ears'. it isn't going to help, and it can harm her.

well even if she has a problem with her ears i'd stop shouting in her ears. how old is your baby?? it is quite common for babies to not to react to some loud noises, watch her through the day and see what her reaction is to normal household noises. if my daughter is playing intently with something and there's a loud noise she won't even flinch but most of the time she's aware of it and will look to see where the sound is coming from.

play with your daughter, play some sort of clapping game and see how she reacts to that. if you are overly concerned i would take her to the doctor or your health visitor and ask them to take a look. it could be something very simple

How about not shouting in your baby's ear to start with. If your baby is having ear problems shouting in them will not make it better but could make it worse. Then when you go to the doctor's office tell him/her what you are noticing.

your baby can hear from the second they are born, they are alert and aware of noises around them exspecially your voice they recognise from being in your womb. pregnancy question and answersNewborn&Baby
maybe you should take your little one to the doctors and have her ears tested.

How old is your baby, if below two months still very early to worry. Pls take time and dont shout to her at the ears to protect her eardrum.
