In order to apply you and your BF have to be 18 and both have jobs working at least 35 hours a week. They do not supply housing to children unless your parents are going to be living with you as well and they qualify. Knowledge of business and finance, please go to pregnancy

The waiting list is 5 years, if it remains the same and you apply in two years it will be 2017 before you were supplied housing.

That place that accepts housing can only accept it for people with actual vouchers and you have to wait your turn for those.

Get used to that 1 bedroom. You are not ready to move out. Are you ready to pay rent, food, heat, water, cable, internet? Can you clean, do dishes, laundry, grocery shop?

Why should tax payers provide you with a free home just because you have a baby? Pay your dues, earn your own home like we all did, with hard work and waiting our turn.

Call the housing authority in the town you want to live and get an application, it is usually is a lengthy process though. Good luck!

Try craigslist. I just recently moved to Wisconsin from Minnesota, but when I was still in MN, people would advertise an income limit - you must make below a certain amount. It's called section 42 I believe. They offer housing at 30% of your total income. So for example if you make 1000$ a month, they only charge $300. It can be for whatever size you need, as well. 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom. The price is the same either way. Also sometimes people rent out sections of their house that include bathroom/kitchen like in a finished basement, or mother in-law type part of the home. Those usually rent out pretty cheap. copyright pregnancy question and answers,Other-Business&Finance

Look into applying for foodstamps and WIC also to help out. If you are eligable, your worker can help you with resources as far as housing goes.

I personally don't have a huge income, so I decided to move to a small town. Units rent out wayyy cheaper than in the cities. I currently rent a 1 bedroom apt for 450$ a month, and it's pretty big and located right in town. Good luck to you and your family!

I live in Ontario and am a 17 year old mother. My boyfriend and I (I was 16, he was 15) both applied for housing and got accepted, but it can take up to like 5 years to actually get a place. We ended up just getting our own apartment anyway and we have a 2 bedroom for $740/month all inclusive with an outdoor pool. You just have to look around and you can find really good deals on places if you can't get into housing. I don't know the laws where you live but I would call the housing place and talk to them. In order to rent an apartment you may have get your parents to co-sign or actually put it under their name considering your age. It all depends on the landlords really, some are nice with age and some are really rude. You have to make sure that you could afford to pay rent or you definitely won't get an apartment if there is any doubt or you can't show proof that you would be able to pay it.

well i live in Canada (Ontario) And i wanted to get housing for the same reason a year ago when i was 17 and expecting anyway. They told me that i have to be 18 (adult) and that because i was 17 they'd bring my mom to court because theres no reason why i cant live with her.. the only way i could get a place was if i lived with someone older than me ..at least 18 years of age. Well my boyfriend is 2 years older than me and they told us that we couldnt get housing because he made to much money.. so theres always problems with housing! not to mention that me and my mother lived in a co-op for 3 years when i was 13 and it was awful, the old people next door always complained about my music.. i got in trouble for playing basketball after 10pm my boyfriend got told that he couldnt work on his truck in the parking lot!! And everyone knows your business!! (so if you do get into a co-op or townhouse keep to yourself because there is alot of drama and B.S)
