I'm sure it varies by state but I was just curious. Also for books, lunch, other, etc.

In Washington State public half day K is free. Some districts offer limited numbers of classrooms of full day K for a fee - the tuition fee for full day K is around $3,000.

Supplies are recommended, not required and can usually be bought for under $20 (not including a backpack and sneakers for PE). Lunch is $2.50 per day if you choose to buy, but many bring a lunch every day, and there are free/reduced price lunches for low income families.

My daughter is starting public kindergarten this friday. She is required to wear uniforms which we spent about $150.00 on, a backpack, nap mat, and a $50.00 supply fee. I also got her a lunch box because I plan on packing her lunch every day. The supplies are required not merely "recommended" and if we didn't pay her supply fee she would not be permitted to attend any field trips until it was paid. So all in all, I guess we spent around $250.00.

not exactly sure, considering factors like, is the kindergarden in a public school? In that case it'll be taxpayer supported, or at a private school, meaning you'll have to pay for tuition, books, etc.

About $3,800- $10,900
