How do I convince my parents to let me play M rated games I&

I'm 13 and I'm mostly restricted on games, so all i can play is Mario, littlebigplanet, and stuff like that. Sure, those games are good, but they won't let me play anything like Halo, MF2, Metal Gear Solid, GTA, or anything like that. Those games happen to be good not for the killing and graphics (I personally think that means nothing if you think about it), but because they're so well mad and play very well and are fun in general. When I ask them why they say "No because it's about killing and all that stuff", But that's not the stuff I'm looking for! Honestly, they somehow think if I see one ************* snippet of GTA, I'll become a gangster mass murderer potty mouthed sex addicted pimpy bastard. Sure, I just cussed, but It's just that this situation is completely stupid. In addition to all THAT, they said I'm "more mature than any kid they know", and look at this crap! Even more stupid, THEY LET ME SEE FILMS LIKE "THE THING" AND DIE HARD!, Okay, I may sound like a pissed off troll, but it doesn't make any sense. I've told them "I'm mature enough for this" and they just say "We don't feel comfortable with you playing this", How do I just get them to let me play those games?

The Thing and Die Hard (particularly The Thing) are much worse than anything you'll see in GTA4 or Halo.

They also should stop listening to Jack Thompson & co. who would have you believe that you are turned into a mass murderer by playing a game. GAMES DON'T SUCK PEOPLE INTO THE DARK SIDE.

Unless there's something mentally wrong with you, you'll still be the same kid. I've been playing those types of games since I was seven, and guess what? I've never done drugs, killed people, gone to a strip club, joined a gang, etc etc etc. Besides, you'll be exposed to that sooner or later anyway.


For example, shooting someone in real life is so much different from shooting someone in a game. In GTA 4: Use auto aim, pull RT to fire. In real life: Insert magazine into receiver, chamber bullet, make sure safety is off, manually line up target with sights, squeeze trigger. How are those two actions the same?
